Comment 1 Martin Väth 2010-01-13 21:14:18 UTC
This does look not like an error of eix (eix does not use any dl* functions).
Instead, it seems that the dependency of sqlite to the glibc got somehow broken.
Please try to re-emerge sqlite before emerging eix again.

I have the same issue. Tried recompiling sqlite first, but eix build still fails.
Comment 4 David Abbott (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-18 21:08:03 UTC
I had to
echo "app-portage/eix -sqlite" >> /etc/portage/package.use
Comment 5 David Abbott (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-18 21:28:54 UTC
I think this is a dup of Bug 301058

It is, and it is also a dupe of bug 300836 (which contains the proper solution).
I knew that quite a while and thought that this bug was marked already
duplicate; sorry for the delay.

In case it is unclear: You first have to recompile sqlite with the
corresponding fix; then the linking of eix to sqlite should work.
