Old hplip versions do not reliable work with Qt4/PyQt-4. We should get a newer version stable. Problem is we need cups-1.4 for the static-ppds use flag. If stabilisation of cups-1.4 wont happen in the near future we can change this dependency to only use cupsddk as there is a stable version available.
hplip-3.9.12-r1 is now stable. This problem should be gone.
