Description:   Opened: 2009-11-04 07:45 0000
Hiya,

Would it be acceptable to stabilize Apache 2.2.14 at this time? The latest
stable release is 2.2.11, and 2.2.14 has been in the ~arch tree for a month now
without any known issues.

Reproducible: Always

Sounds like something isn't right with your sys-libs/db package. Try
revdep-rebuild and see if it catches anything.

Mine updated fine with =sys-libs/db-4.7.25_p4.

remerging apr-util helps. but i think this kind of updates should be resolved
with portage. or not?

don't know if it was with this update or not but the new file
/etc/apache/modules.d/00_languages.conf needs mod_negotiation to work (because
of LanguagePriority and ForceLanguagePriority). if it's not selected, apache
won't start.

you have to remove -D LANGUAGE from APACHE2_OPTS or enable mod_negotiation.
since apache-2.2.13 it does not silently fail if you enable configurationfor
which the modules have not been compiled in.

Why does the _default_ conf.d file specifies -D LANGUAGE? mod_negotiation isn't
default so -D LANGUAGE shouldn't be also.
