# Torsten Veller <tove@gentoo.org> (19 Apr 2009) # Uses pari-2.3* now. # Should fix a number of bug: 143763, 200293, 261357, 265466. # It "mostly works with 2.3.* too". Is "mostly" good enough? =dev-perl/math-pari-2.010801-r1 First of all, I don't understand the masking reason above. Secondly there's bug #289144 which hasn't been processed yet. Thirdly 2.010801-r1 is the only version of math-pari that is set to be concurrently installed with sci-mathematics/pari-2.3.4 which is now being stabilised. Stable dev-perl/crypt-rsa depends on stable dev-perl/crypt-random which depends on dev-perl/math-pari. So this breaks the tree for stable users of both crypt-* packages (and maybe more).

Do we break anything? > Secondly there's bug #289144 which hasn't been processed yet. perl-5.10 is still masked. > Thirdly 2.010801-r1 is the only version of math-pari that is set to be > concurrently installed with sci-mathematics/pari-2.3.4 which is now being > stabilised. In fact 2.010801-r1 is the only version ... with sci-mathematics/pari-2.3*. There is no new problem introduced with stable pari-2.3.4. The problem is the same with stable pari-2.3.2. I am all for unmasking it -- but i won't take any responsiblity for any problems.
math-pari-2.01080601 is in the tree, uses pari-2.3.4 and is not masked.
