Quick note that net-print/cnijfilter I'll assume this is an extension of cnijfilter. If its not and you actually want cnijfilter please let us know :) Thanks for the ebuilds!

Further tests showed that the printer now also works without the patch.
But the patch enhances the possible settings and therefore might be useful.

If you are still interested in the 3.00 version, please request again the package for your printer series as explained in https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Canon_Pixma_Printer. This way to sort between "no more needed" / "still needed" ones, and to avoid wasting time on obsolete / unused series.

Wow I didn't knew this big still exists xD

My parents still own this printer but I no longer life with them for like 5 years and they use openSUSE where it works.

So actually I don't care what happens to this big :D
