Ok, I know why I got this error. Some mirrors had the other files and the last mirror has the correct one, but the file was resumed from the other ones. Fetch the file from the last mirror worked. I think thats one problem of portage/emerge. here is the full output: didi root # emerge -u eroaster Calculating dependencies ...done! >>> emerge (1 of 1) app-cdr/eroaster-2.1.0-r2 to / >>> Downloading ftp://gentoo.linux.no/pub/gentoo//distfiles/eroaster-2.1.0.tar.gz --08:40:15-- ftp://gentoo.linux.no/pub/gentoo/distfiles/eroaster-2.1.0.tar.gz => `/usr/portage/distfiles/eroaster-2.1.0.tar.gz' Resolving gentoo.linux.no... done. the digest file is correct - but there seems to be an error on some (if not all) *gentoo*-mirrors - the file downloaded directly from a sourceforge mirror *does* have the correct md5sum - so please reinsert the file into the gentoo-mirrors.
