Please stabilize dev-lang/python-2.6.2-r1. Remember to run `python-updater` after switching Python version. It is recommended to use app-admin/python-updater-0.7. Don't report here any problems occuring during running `python-updater`. Members of architecture projects: If you reproduce a (not already reported) bug in dev-lang/python-2.6.2-r1, please open a new bug and, in this bug, write information about another bug. Non-members of architecture projects (e.g. normal users): Don't report any problems with dev-lang/python or any Python packages or anything else in this bug.

(All non-skipped tests passed for amd64; just need to get through the depending bugs)
Apart from the bugs already listed as blockers, there are some more show-stoppers. Arfrever and I will sort it out and will give green light, maybe you will find more obstacles.
ppc64 stable
(In reply to comment #4) > ppc64 stable You haven't committed it.
dev-python/python-docs-2.6.2-r1 also should be stabilized.
amd64 stable -all depending bugs done for amd64 -ran in my stable chroot for over 2 weeks -stabilized depending bugs with py-2.6 -marked dev-python/python-docs-2.6.2-r1 stable
There are still some packages out there that need fixing (see the 2.6 tracker) and I have some bugs to file, when I find time.
(In reply to comment #8) > There are still some packages out there that need fixing (see the 2.6 tracker) > and I have some bugs to file, when I find time. I am through with my stuff, and the bug 230205 tracker contains only minor issues in my eyes. Python team, are you ok with stabling 2.6?
(In reply to comment #9) > Python team, are you ok with stabling 2.6? Yes.

Compile succeeded with MAKEOPTS="-j1". There must have been a compile-time race condition, where some dependent file wasn't compiled in time. It should show up in my attachments.
(In reply to comment #12) Please read the last paragraph of comment #0.
Added bug 282786 for alpha. Probably related to bug 264335 (floor/ceil/rint on alpha glibc is broken. There's a patch for glibc, but it hasn't been applied yet)
Both stable on alpha.

Stable for HPPA. dev-python/gdata-2* can wait as only media-video/totem depends on it and that package has issues of its own for HPPA.
Please see http://bugs.gentoo.org/267952 2.6.2-r1 fails for me on x86 with ValueError: cannot convert float NaN to integer The above bug has details.
