These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies ... done!
[ebuild R ] net-misc/ntp-4.2.4_p6 USE="caps debug ipv6 parse-clocks ssl zeroconf -openntpd (-selinux)"
I tried safe cflags and some combinations of useflags, -j1 does not work also.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.updae to last ~amd64
2.rebuild net-misc/ntp-4.2.4_p6
3.

Actual Results:
compile fails

Expected Results:
a proper merge

Guessing this is a glibc-2.10.1 error and that the patch in URL will fix it. Please test.

This is really a bug in the glibc header files. Has anyone pointed this out to glibc upstream?
Comment 10 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2009-08-23 11:23:32 UTC
considering adjtimex/ntp_adjtime are not standard functions, it's hard to say one implementation is "wrong". feel free to e-mail the glibc people about it, but i doubt anything will change.
