xbmc-9.04 fails during configure because it can't find a library (I think it's boost). I am running gentoo on amd64 using the testing arch (~amd64). I only have installed boost-1.37.0-r1. Ok, problem solved, please close the bug and sorry for the trouble. What I did was to use eselect boost to select the only boost installation on my system. $ eselect boost set 1
