Description Klaus Kusche 2009-05-16 08:23:22 UTC
When logging in, gnome-session keeps respawning nautilus at full speed.
The panel shows a rapidly increasing number of nautilus instances
(hundreds of them).
The system is unuseable (100 % CPU),
it is impossible to shutdown or logout from within Gnome
(only way out: Switch to console, stop X).

Problem happens since I upgraded from 2.24 to 2.26.

Exactly the same problem is described in full detail and confirmed by multiple users for Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/325973

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log into Gnome desktop.

That patch is in the version I have, and it does not solve the problem.

still a duplicate. The ubuntu bug seems to have a better patch for this issue than upstream proposed though, will follow up on the other bug.
