So, is this bug for 1.1.15 or 1.1.16 ?
And does bug 260726 comment 35 fix the problem (for 1.1.16) ?
(it does look like a hack, but only somebody on amd64 can tell,
if it's required)

The main question here is: is the "fix" (hack) mentioned in
bug 260726 comment 15 still required for 1.1.16 or did the commit
I mentioned in bug 260726 comment 37 removed the reason for it ?
Comment 3 Michelangelo Scopelliti 2009-03-05 13:59:44 UTC
confirmed on two different ~amd64 systems
Comment 4 ~S 2009-03-05 17:04:31 UTC
okay, i replied at bug http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260726 and can confirm here too
the problem which was similar to 1.1.16 is there in 1.1.15 too
and the trick/hack/solution/fix/whatever told there on bug for 16 i.e.
comment out the following line from ebuild's src_config

use amd64 && ! use win64 && multilib_toolchain_setup x86

worked for for 1.1.15 too

but i am not sure if this is the right way

also someone else gave another solution/fix/whatever but i can't figure it out
its the comment #35 on bug page for 1.1.16 link - http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260726#c35

comment #39 confirms that solution given in comment #35 works
if someone can figure it out and test for 1.1.15 too then we can put 1.1.16 back to ~amd64 and upgrade :)

/*hopes what i said made sense*/

Confirmed 1.1.15 not compiling:  http://pastebin.com/f6788d6de

Comment 6 Chris Faulkner 2009-03-05 21:55:00 UTC
Also, I'm not going to hack my ebuild as a "workaround". Just confirming this bug so hopefully it'll get fixed quicker. I'm not too worried about 1.1.16 at this time as there's nothing really in 1.1.16 that will be better than 1.1.15 so no rush on .16 , a rush on .15 would be great however.
