Description Daniel Mettler 2009-02-13 03:55:21 UTC
I didn't find any entry in bugs.gentoo.org related to SugarCRM and only an outdated ebuild for SugarCRM (sugarcrm-4.5.1h) in the web-apps overlay. In order to keep sugarcrm ebuild related things going, creating a new bugzilla entry probably doesn't hurt.

The most current version of SugarCRM is 5.2.0a at the time of writing. I tried to bump the newest ebuild I have on my box (for 5.1.0) to 5.2.0a, but this doesn't seem to be sufficient as when updating an existing installation of SugarCRM (in my case 5.1.0), it complains that 5.2.0a will only run with a 5.2.0 database. The ebuild will thus probably need some tweaking in order to update the database, too.
5.2.0a worked quite well though when installing it from scratch (there's a minor glitch in the ebuild regarding the readme.txt which it doesn't find).

Reproducible: Always

sugarcrm-5.2.0a.ebuild

Bumped sugarcrm-5.1.0.ebuild I used on my box. Based on the sugarcrm ebuild that can be found in the www-apps overlay. Better don't use it for updating an existing installation of SugarCRM as that didn't work in my tests. It worked fine though when installing 5.2.0a from scratch.

Please post this ebuild at bug 103295. There's already a number of interested people subscribed to that bug.
