Please add this driver asap. The 96.43.09 driver was required to get the xorg-1.5 working, and to compile against recent kernels. But it has a really nasty text corruption bug that is totally driving me crazy. (Text looks like it has been scribbled over top of with a sharpie.) Also has some fixes for KDE 4.2, so you may want to get this out before the 4.2 ebuilds (going up as I write this) get unmasked. Reproducible: Always

The 96.43.09 was released without a backport for the "text corruption" bug, as per NVIDIA's reps on the nvnews forums. As we know, 96.43.10 not only corrects the text corruption bug (making the use of small fonts Impossible), but also fixes the issues noted in the release highlights at: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=126954 I have taken the 96.43.09 ebuild and copied it to 96.43.10 and installed with no negative issues, and, the text corruption bug is gone. If you would like a tester for the nvidia legacy drivers, I can offer my services, as I have a NV25 [GeForce4 Ti 4400] and run a recent kernel (2.6.27.14) and conservative configs. Could 96.43.10 be issued soon?
96.43.10 is now in the tree.
