If I try to emerge media-libs/gstreamer-0.10.21 on an ~amd64 System I get the following error message. Looks like this bug happens with binson-2.4.1. (Thanks to frostwork) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. This actually seems to be a bug in media-libs/gstreamer, more exactly in the macro that checks the version - it seems to incorrectly handle the case of version number with three fields.
Created attachment 176170 [details, diff] ebuild diff Ebuild that fixes banshee crash bug (#250704) and bison 2.4.1 ./configure error. Two patches to go with it to follow.
Created attachment 176171 [details, diff] banshee crash fix diff Fixes #250704 (from upstream).
Created attachment 176172 [details, diff] bison version check error fix Fixes this bug. Taken and adapted from http://cvsweb.se.netbsd.org/cgi-bin/bsdweb.cgi/pkgsrc/multimedia/gstreamer0.10/patches/patch-ac.diff?r1=1.5;r2=1.6 .
Thanks for the report, and thanks Paul for submitting a fix. Assigning to maintainers.

0.10.21-r1 is in tree, could you confirm it fixes it for you guys ?
Yes works now for me. Thanks for fixing this bug.
thank ssuominen, he did the job :)
I think this bug should be opened again because the latest unmasked version on AMD64 is 0.10.21 (no -r1 in portage). I have to unmask 0.10.21 in order to make it work on AMD64.
