Description Audiodef 2008-12-11 22:34:50 UTC
x11-misc/slim-1.3.0-r1 was triggering my KVM switch to fall over to the other computer attached to it whenever I logged out or rebooted. Upgrading to x11-misc/slim-1.3.1-r1 solved this problem, but I wanted to post about this issue in case it needs attention.

It's not my KVM switch. This only happens with SLiM and that particular version.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
0. Set up two computers on a USB KVM. Boot into a Gentoo box on one set
1. emerge x11-misc/slim-1.3.0-r1
2. Log into your DE via SLiM
3. Log out from your DE and back into SLiM

Actual Results:
KVM switches over to other computer whether the other computer is on or off.

Expected Results:
Stayed on the same KVM set.

What arch are you on and 1.3.1 fixes this, eh?
Comment 2 Audiodef 2008-12-12 02:32:04 UTC
x86 stable, with various packages in package.keywords, and yeah, adding this package to package.keywords and emerging a higher version fixes it.

Oh, unfortunate timing then. I have a stablereq bug open and x86 is the last arch to complete it still. So, I'll mark this bug as a duplicate of that. Sorry you had troubles, thanks for reporting.
