I'd like to see the newer (and faster, yay) version of simplejson in the tree. Since simplejson is bundled with python 2.6 and 3.0 (as 'json'), this only needs to be flagged for < 2.6. Also, friendly reminder of the stabilization request of the current (old version) 1.9.1: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=243812 Reproducible: Always
Thanks for the report. Have you tried doing a trivial version bump (rename the ebuild in a local overlay)?
Yes, works fine for me - docs end up in the right place as well as the application itself. I guess one could add the "doc" use-flag, but this applies to the older ebuilds as well.
Thanks! Assigning to maintainers.
Just found this after successfully doing the trivial-bump myself. This is pretty important as it aligns the JSON parser with what's in python-2.6. The previous version 1.9.1 caused errors for me, apparently related to Unicode handling.
Hello, =dev-python/simplejson-2.0.4 added to CVS, Thanks guys for reporting. Best regards,
