Description Marek Sapota 2008-08-02 21:01:01 UTC
dev-lang/ruby has Ruby license in portage, but it can be used on GPLv2 terms, and license should be Ruby || GPLv2.

Reproducible: Always

I've just noticed that the licenses "Ruby" and "mongrel" are basically the same. Please work with upstream on a unification. Naming the copyright holder may go elsewhere and is implicitly given in most countries of the world, anyways. The open source license jungle is bad enough, we don't need such crappy duplication.
Comment 2 Marek Sapota 2008-08-03 08:03:36 UTC
It is the same. The mongrel site states that mongrel is under the same terms as Ruby. But there are many more licenses in portage that only differ in copyright holder...

ruby ebuilds are all fixed now.
