Description:   Opened: 2008-07-13 12:13 0000
It seems that the HAL property info.bus has been removed in 0.5.11. That
property was used by gpilotd to detect devices added via HAL.

The latest code in gnome-pilot SVN adds an extra check for the pda.platform
property. I'm attaching a patch which adds that extra code.

Reproducible: Always

I am experiencing this problem on my system as well. I created the attached
modified ebuild that applies the patch from gnome-pilot SVN already attached to
this bug to solve the problem for myself. I'm going to attach it here in case
anyone else finds it useful.

patch has been commited, now I suppose we should fast track this to stable
since hal 0.5.11 is already stable. @herds, thoughts ?

------- Comment #5 From Rémi Cardona 2008-08-07 07:17:17 0000 -------
I think it's ok, the patch is simple enough and makes sense.

+1 for fast tracking
