And ICQ refuses to work with pidgin 2.3.1 anymore...

In these days neither 2.4.2 works with ICQ , perhaps they have changed the protocol.

It seems that pidgin team fixed this bug in 2.4.3 :
http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/6220 .
I'll wait until 2.4.3 hits the tree.

Ubuntu has posted a fix in their forum, see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?s=a9d6f43c6efd115ae182394f3287f293&t=846279&page=4

Don't know where this comes from or who is the author.
Nevertheless, I have it applied to 2.3.1 and it ICQ works.

Maybe we can get it into portage. Should work with any version in the tree.

There's also an "official" patch to 2.4.2 here: http://pidgin.im/pidgin-2.4.2-icq6.patch

I'm currently adding the patch to my overlay, if anyone needs it.
