Description Martin Wegner 2008-05-02 20:48:18 UTC
I upgraded to sys-apps/baselayout-2.0.0 and sys-apps/openrc-0.2.3 and now my dm-crypt mapping for my encrypted home-partition is not set up anymore. It is encrypted with a gpg-encrypted key which is located on a removable device.

It fails due to problems with mounting the removable device.

I will attach the rc.log .

The /etc/conf.d/dm-crypt looks like this:

swap=crypt-swap
source='/dev/sda2'

target=crypt-home
source='/dev/sda7'
key='/crypt/key-nonl.gpg:gpg'
remdev='/dev/stick2'

/dev/stick2 is the device node of the partition on the stick where the key is stored (mapped via udev).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to sys-apps/baselayout-2.0.0 and sys-apps/openrc-0.2.3
2. Set up /etc/conf.d/dm-crypt as described
3. Insert stick and reboot

Actual Results:
Mounting of removable device with key fails and encrypted device is not correctly set up.

Expected Results:
Mounting should not fail.
