Description Eric Thibodeau 2003-05-28 21:30:57 UTC
The abovementionned http link points to a rather explicit (and simple) sequence to be able to
develop Atmel's AVR microcontrollers under linux using gcc. This implies some small changes to
the gcc and binutils ebuilds as well as the addition/creation of an avr-libc and a uisp ebuild.

I beleive the first two could be trivially integrated into the existant packages by simply adding a
USE flag, sayyyyy.....AVR :P But these being rather sensitive ebuilds, I wouldn't touch them
with a 10" pole :) The two latter would simply need to be created.

The procedure mentionned on the web site seems rather clean and "standard".

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

These e-builds would be damned useful and would kickstart (AVR) Microcontroller development
under Gentoo...most probably giving a good reason for my university to install Gentoo on our
Microcontroller devlopement worstations...doing some realtime dev...fun :)...okay, enouh
babbling :)
