Description paidhi 2003-05-28 11:42:44 UTC
1. Can you please update the "quota" package in portage to 3.08?
   From this release on rquotad is aware of /etc/services which makes live
   with NFS and firewalls more easy (meaning you can set the port rquotad will
   use with /etc/services instead of RPC setting it dynamically).
   A description about this can be found at:
   http://www.lowth.com/LinWiz/nfs_help.html
2. The comment in /etc/conf.d/nfs ("nfs-utils" ebuild) says:
   # OPTIONS to pass to rpc.rquotad
   # ex. RPCRQUOTADOPTS="-p 32764"
   RPCRQUOTADOPTS=""

   The options here are used in /etc/init.d/nfs to start rquotad.
   This daemon has no option "-p" so the comment is not correct. Which port
   it is using can be controlled by /etc/services. See as mentioned above.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

-Markus-

quota 3.09 is in cvs

adding the ports to services -> depend

todo: option in /etc/conf.d/nfs
