Description Ben de Groot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-17 13:08:46 UTC
FFmpeg recently changed all the include paths. Every application using it
should update. Make sure the applications build against currently hardmasked media-video/ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20080326.

sci-* apps with rdep on ffmpeg:
sci-geosciences/grass
sci-visualization/paraview

Hi Ben,

sci-visualization/paraview currently does not use
ffmpeg. I will probably enable it in the future
as soon as paraview's upstream has stopped
depending on long gone ffmpeg API functions ;)

Best,
Markus

Just updated grass-6.2.3 for the new ffmpeg; now it depends on the new version, while the stable grass depends on the old. What's the timeline for unmasking the new ffmpeg?
Comment 3 Ben de Groot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-06-13 12:46:33 UTC
newer ffmpeg will be unmasked either today or next week, depending on what I find now that still needs fixing...
