Upgrading to baselayout 2* installs openrc which overwrites /etc/conf.d/net file without any warning. Some users have multiple interfaces configured, and after upgrading they loose all configurations. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge --sync && emerge -u baselayout 2. 3. Actual Results: /etc/conf.d/net file removed/overwritten Expected Results: /etc/conf.d/net saved, renamed or backuped

Even though this is a dup, you should always include the versions of what you're trying to install and emerge --info. In the future, please review http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/bugzilla-howto.xml
