After running "emerge rsync" 
......

and then emerging pango 
I get :

!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)

!!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//pango-1.2.1.tar.bz2 
 
While comparing the digests of two latest pango versions 
I get : 
 
sh-2.05b# cat digest-pango-1.2.1 
MD5 6b354ef14e75739a92b5b78f4ca3165a pango-1.2.1.tar.bz2 776687 
sh-2.05b# cat digest-pango-1.2.1-r1 
MD5 6b354ef14e75739a92b5b78f4ca3165a pango-1.2.1.tar.bz2 776687 
 
They seems to be same, which expalins the above problem
