It appears that ORBit-0.5.17.tar.bz2 from 
http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/distfiles/ORBIT-0.5.17.tar.bz2 has a bad md5sum of 
ba28ae6a49bf268b8cbbf8726399bdac.  It should be 
35acc6f8d49d930b566104fcceb893d3.  The file at: 
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/ORBit/0.5/ORBit-0.5.17.tar.bz2 is correct.

1. emerge ORBit, downloading from gentoo.oregonstate.edu

Bad digest.

please use another mirror. the oregonstate.edu mirror experienced some disk corruption yesterday and is still recovering.

reassigning the bug-wranglers, not a gnome specific problem.
