I think, that the nawk error comes rather from the line DBUS_MINOR=" than from SUNOS_VER isn't it ? BTW the error occurs twice. I'm only wondering whether the failed checks does harm sth. or not.

it's harmless for us, but i've fixed it in cvs http://sources.gentoo.org/net-dns/dnsmasq/dnsmasq-2.41.ebuild?r1=1.4&r2=1.5
