A version bump to 2.8.0 should fix this error:

Upgrade of the Tcl/Tk library from version 8.3.4 to 8.5.0 (to benefit from this

recommended due to improvements in widget appearances)

I added the new version into portage.

Well, it still fails for me as tcl-8.5 is package.masked. So either
conditionally apply the tcl-8.5 patch, OR do mask nxtvepg-2.8.0 as long as
tcl-8.5 is masked.

I can confirm this on my ~x86 system.

ping, please add the correct dependency to 2.8.0 and mask it.

this bug is still valid. please fix. Trys to compile against TCL 8.5 though 8.5
is not installed!

nxtvepg-2.8.0 + tcl8.5 WorksForMe!

can this issue be closed?
