Description Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-02 14:54:49 UTC
Arch teams, please, either keyword net-libs/libsmi-0.4.7 or profile mask (not added in to the portage tree ATM) smi USE flag.

It's blocks version bump of wireshark which was already released. It was always possible to use wireshark with this library and with forthcoming version bump I'd like to add said USE flag to explicitly enable/disable use of libsmi.

BTW, if you try to run tests I see "2 of 21 tests failed" on ~x86:
FAIL: smidump-sming.test
FAIL: smidump-orig-smiv2.test
Currently I'm trying to get in touch with upstream about this issue, but I think this should not prevent keywording.

Thank you in advance.

net-libs:libsmi-0.4.7:20080303-015329.log on HPPA

On HPPA, smidump-cm.test fails as well.
Comment 2 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-03 03:28:00 UTC
Marked ~hppa. Adding myself to check up on the third failing test.
Comment 3 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-04 12:52:48 UTC
~alpha done, fails the same tests as x86
Comment 4 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-04 16:07:42 UTC
First answer from upstream:

http://mail.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/pipermail/libsmi/2008-March/001014.html

So smidump-sming.test failure does not harm.

failed tests

This is archive of failed directories. Jeroen, could you also attached directories with failed tests to this bug? Thank you in advance.
Comment 6 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-11 11:55:29 UTC
I've updated and now tests do not fail on x86.

ppc64, please, go! :)

added ~ppc64. smidump-cm.test is the only test that failed. sorry for being late...
Comment 9 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-15 12:22:42 UTC
Ok, I'll mark but fixed for now. But I'll ping upstream another time on smidump-cm failure if they don't answer in week.
