When I build glibc, with any make.conf parameters, it always crashes with error:

I have tried with a another march option but have got the same error

CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium-m -pipe -msse3 -fomit-frame-pointer"

Remove USE=vanilla from your use flags and don't set such flags globally.
