The location in which the lib[tT]ix***.so library is installed has changed from version 8.2.0 from /usr/lib/ to /usr/lib/Tix8.4.2/. Is it possible to change the install location of libTix8.4.2.so back to /usr/lib/? So that the shared library can be accessed? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
If you post ebuild name and version, I might even be able to assign the bug.
Sorry for that, dev-tcltk/tix-8.4.2. Maybe a symlink /usr/lib/libTix8.4.2.so -> /usr/lib/Tix8.4.2/libTix8.4.2.so will also do the work.
I think I have to reopen this bug, if I want that this is assigned to somebody. Here we go.
Its changed by upstream and it seems to work fine with tclsh. $ tclsh % package require Tix 8.4.2 % What apps have troubles with new location?
Netgen (Bug 155424) links against the tix shared library. So it needed to find one on execution time.
fixed in cvs.(dev-tcltk/tix-8.4.2-r1)
