The current version of the SELinux security module is not working with the newest version of the courier-imap project (net-mail/courier-imap-4.0.6-r2). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install courier-imap 2. install the associated selinux module 3. launch the courier-imap daemons (pop3 or imap) Actual Results: The service launch fails Expected Results: The service launch should NOT failed but be waiting for client connections See proposed patches on http://aispirit.tuxfamily.org/bugs/pdf/updateSELcourier_en.pdf (english version) and http://aispirit.tuxfamily.org/bugs/pdf/updateSELcourier_fr.pdf (original french version) Note that these patches are only draft that have not been approved by the hardened-gentoo comunity.

(In reply to comment #1) > Closing stale bugs. URLs referenced are invalid. If you still want to pursue > it, please open a new bug against current policy. > The URL have been changed to http://www.julienthomas.eu/bugs/pdf/. However, the proposed upgrades were valid for - Linux 2.6.20-hardened-r5 (2007 !) - net-mail/courier-imap-4.0.6-r2, options berkdb gdbm ipv6 nls (selinux) (as stated on the PDFs). I will, if I have time, look at the new policies to see if the updates are still valid. Best Regards, Julien Thomas
