As of bug 140498 xzgv has been removed from the portage tree as it was an old
unmaintained software, but now it seems that there is a new mantainer upstream:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/xzgv/

xzgv-0.9 is out with GTK2 and imlib2 support. It could be added into the tree
again?

Proposed skel ebuild

I am attaching a possible base ebuild for the xzgv-0.9 package. The xzgv
documentation says that it depends on >=GTK+-1.2 and >=imlib-1.0, but the
"NEWS" files says that imlib1 is no longer supported and that xzgv-0.9 uses
GTK+-2 (a quick ldd check seems to confirm that it's linked with the gtk-2
libs).
