I found a problem in multipath-tools. The kpartx utility failed with a partition >2TB.

There is a fix from redhat for that. I sent it to the author and he included it for future versions.

As this is quite essential, I thought you might want to add the patch for the current version in gentoo as well. Enclosed you find a patched kpartx from redhats multipath-tools 0.4.7 and the patch-files. I am not shure if they fit directly onto the version that gentoo uses, but it shouldn't be a problem to adopt them.

Fixed in upstream 0.4.8, coming to the gentoo tree shortly.
