Well, I am unsure which kernel you are trying to use. But, we have had aic79xx support in the kernel for awhile. The latest being aic79xx-linux-2.4-20030318 which can be found in gentoo-sources, xfs-sources, & gs-sources. Try one of the latest releases and you have fairly current drivers. Jay
are you missing it in livecd or where ?
i confirmed that aic79xx.o is present on at least 1.4rc4 of the livecd for both kernels(xfs-sources & gs-sources). i'm pretty sure that the past couple livecd releases had this as well since i use u320 adaptec products myself. make sure you have the latest livecd which 1.4rc4. Jay
