This bug effects both qudos and quake2-icculus when built on amd64. I reported this last year also, but it was closed and never fixed apparently. The programs compile more or less, with some warnings, but attempting to run them results in the above error. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. $ qudos 2. $ quake2-qmax 3. $ sdlquake2-qmax Actual Results: Quake 2 -- Version 3.21+r0.16 Added packfile /usr/share/games/quake2/baseq2/pak0.pak (3307 files) Added packfile /usr/share/games/quake2/baseq2/pak1.pak (279 files) Added packfile /usr/share/games/quake2/baseq2/pak2.pak (2 files) Added packfile /usr/games/lib64/quake2-icculus-qmax/baseq2/maxpak.pak (40 files) using /home/doug/.quake2/baseq2/ for writing execing default.cfg execing config.cfg Console initialized. . . . Changing map... reconnecting... Logistics Complex ==== ShutdownGame ==== recursive shutdown Error: Hunk_End: Could not remap virtual block (2) Expected Results: The game should have gone into demo mode. I'm using nvidia-opengl. Other than that nothing fancy, typical amd64 x2-3800+ smp system.
See bug #150865 for the qudos-9999.ebuild - emerge *that*. This is a duplicate of bug #158415.
Phooey, of course I only find the other bugreport after I make this one. Downloaded the new ebuild and patch from Bug # 158415, ran ebuild digest. Program compiled but the l-r of mouse is inverted unless DGA mouse is set in the config file. Other than that, it seems to work ok. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 158415 *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 158415 ***
