I tried bumping the mysql versions in my local portage tree and was able to go from the current latest portage version up to 5.1.20 with the same set of use flags building and erring. So I guess it would be safe for the maintainers to bump this at least on ~amd64. I also tried MySQL's current 5.1.21 which is probably the last beta before a rc.. here I rand into some problems that will require the mysql-extras to be updated since a patch failed... since i'm interested in testing the 5.1.21 i offer hereby testing of the package on the amd64 arch to the maintainer.. (just mail me if i can be of any help) Reproducible: Always
