While emerging xorg-x11 for the first time (after a fresh installation) with suport for sdl and directfb in USE, got the following error about circular dependencies:

   ('ebuild', '/', 'media-libs/libsdl-1.2.11-r2', 'merge') (hard)
('ebuild', '/', 'media-libs/libsdl-1.2.11-r2', 'merge') depends on
   ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-libs/DirectFB-1.0.0', 'merge') (hard)

!!! Note that circular dependencies can often be avoided by temporarily
!!! disabling USE flags that trigger optional dependencies.
