I don't think the dev-util/git description is appropriate:
Description: GIT - the stupid content tracker.
Yes, I know that's what a lot of official types have called it, but it doesn't help a Gentoo user to see that especially when he/she may be unfamiliar with git altogether.
Something along the lines of "revision control system" would be more fitting.
