Hi! I am running a amd64 system and lrw-mode (kernel >= 2.6.20) is not yet really supported by luks. http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-567358.html When using the current 1.0.5 release its working just fine! Btw, I just copied the ebuild of 1.0.4, downloaded the 1.0.5, repacked it (as its now cryptsetup, without the tailing "-luks"). Emerge worked ;)
Created attachment 123458 [details] sys-fs/cryptsetup-luks-1.0.5 An ebuild for the 1.0.5 version. I am not used to write ebuilds, so excuse possible mistakes...
The upstream package is now named "cryptsetup", no longer "cryptsetup-luks". But as we have a "sys-fs/cryptsetup" already, I kept the "cryptsetup-luks" name. I dont know how to resolve this...
cryptsetup-luks started as a fork and the author of cryptsetup even links to cryptsetup-luks and mentions that it's better maintained on his website. The cryptsetup-luks maintainer has said his package is now the offical cryptsetup (pointing to the fact that cryptsetup had 1 release that was a 0.1 release and it was in 2004). I'd say we remove the current cryptsetup and move cryptsetup-luks to it.
i've put 1.0.5 into the tree as cryptsetup. reopen if pain persists.
