ruby is now at version 1.8.6-r1 stable on amd64. rake is at 0.7.1 which rdeps on <dev-lang/ruby-1.8.6_pre1. A bunch of ruby-packages require 1.8.6-r1, so you'll get dep conflicts.

Either
a) remove amd64-keyword from latest ruby till issues are resolved
b) keyword rake-0.7.2 0r 0.7.3 stable amd64
