A new release was released so I doubt this will get any more testing so here it
goes:

*java-config-2.0.32 (01 May 2007)

  +java-config-2.0.32.ebuild:
  Version bump. Prefers sun-jdk over blackdown-jdk on amd64 and x86 and
  improves gjl error handling.

You can see the nice new errors by for example emerging azureus and running
emerge -C commons-cli:

betelgeuse@pena /usr/portage/dev-java/java-config $ azureus 
using /home/betelgeuse/.azureus/gentoo.config
!!! ERROR: 
           Package commons-cli-1 not found in the system. This package is
listed as a
           dependency of azureus. Please run emerge -1Da azureus and if it does
