http://syntekdriver.sourceforge.net/ just reached version 1.0.0. stk11xx is the module for Syntek webcams, mostly included in Asus laptops.
Created attachment 119563 [details] stk11xx-1.0.0.ebuild an ebuild stub (NOT WORKING!)
Created attachment 119565 [details, diff] stk11xx-1.0.0-ctags.patch needed ctags patch.
Created attachment 119817 [details] working ebuild for stk11xx There is a corrected ebuild that work for me.
(In reply to comment #3) > There is a corrected ebuild that work for me. I can confirm. thanks
Release 1.1.0 is out. Just renamed ebuild and it's OK
Created attachment 129766 [details] 1.1.0 ebuild
Created attachment 129768 [details] stk11xx-1.1.0-ctags.patch stk11xx-1.1.0 patch
Created attachment 134057 [details] stk11xx-1.1.0.ebuild ebuild with correct kernel detection (use /usr/src/linux link instead of running kernel)
Created attachment 137234 [details] stk11xx-1.2.1.ebuild 1.2.1 is out. It uses the standard kernel module build system now, so no need for the ctags patch or dependency; otherwise, the existing ebuild works fine. The driver itself doesn't work for me, but neither did the last version I tried.
Created attachment 138017 [details] stk11xx-1.2.3.ebuild Just renamed stk11xx-1.2.1.ebuild to stk11xx-1.2.3.ebuild . Though it works good, i didn't notice any changes, also cannot find related changelog.
It also has a gui program to control picture flips and the default color and brightness values. Maybe somebody can upgrade the ebuild to emerge the gui as well as the driver itself. Maybe a use flag? It's written in python and glade I think. Sadly it's only in svn yet. I'm not so good at ebuild writing, so this is only a thought. "svn co https://syntekdriver.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/syntekdriver/trunk/gui"
Created attachment 140270 [details] stk11xx-1.2.3-r1.ebuild ChangeLog: Removed ctags dependency. Added a patch from svn revision 70. Fixes some ioctl error, and improves skype compatibility I guess :) I also attach the patch.
Created attachment 140271 [details, diff] stk11xx-1.2.3_p70.patch This is the patch from svn revision 70. It's for the stk11xx-1.2.3-r1.ebuild
Created attachment 142950 [details] stk11xx-1.3.1.ebuild 1.3.1 is out, and supposedly compatible with 2.6.24, although I haven't tried it. I tidied up the ebuild slightly, but nothing terribly exciting.
> 1.3.1 is out, and supposedly compatible with 2.6.24, although I haven't tried > it. I tidied up the ebuild slightly, but nothing terribly exciting. works fine for me on my ASUS V1S Bus 001 Device 003: ID 174f:6a31 Portage 2.1.4.4 (default-linux/amd64/2007.0, gcc-4.1.2, glibc-2.6.1-r0, 2.6.24-gentoo-r3-a2 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.24-gentoo-r3-a2 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz
1.3.1 works on my x86 ASUS F3Sv. Great job, time to consider adding it to portage.
Version 1.4.0 is out and is needed for 2.6.27, just need to rename ebuild
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy.
