I updated the ebuild with more dependencies, and it now checks for the presence of evdev if that use-flag is enabled.

The check itself does not work for some reason, but this is a start.

The configure script that mmsv2 uses is horrible, and that is the reason for all the $my_conf hackery. I wrote the author on the mmsv2 forum, and hope that he will fix it at some point, as my configure skills are pretty limited.
