Description Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-06 14:02:35 UTC
Please, remove the flag and always install both static and shared libraries...

http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=gentoo-dev&m=116026024223024&w=2

Additionally, it installs included to /usr/included/dclibc/dclibc which is broken location.
Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-06 14:04:02 UTC
Ugh, typos--; let's try again:

It installs the headers into /usr/include/dclibc/dclibc

dclibc-correct-includedir.patch

There is a new version of dclibc which has the same issue...
I wrote a patch which applies clean to both the version in portage and the new one(0.1.1-rc1) fixing the install location of headers.
I guess I should let the upstream know about this..
Comment 3 Ali Polatel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-09 14:09:54 UTC
Hmm I emailed the upstream about the issue and got the reply:

  From: daniele_athome <daniele.athome@gmail.com>
Thanks for the news, but installing the headers in
$prefix/include/dclibc/dclibc is exactly the expected behiavour, like
some libraries do such as gtk ($prefix/include/gtk-2.0/gtk).

So I guess we should leave it as is :)
Comment 4 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-24 22:03:30 UTC
Anyone from net-p2p want to fix this please?

There is also a silly depend on virtual/libc and a quoting issue or two.
Comment 5 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-04 20:13:55 UTC
This should be assigned to net-p2p
Comment 6 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-04 20:14:07 UTC
Fixed, closing.
