Description morb1d 2003-02-24 14:42:18 UTC
I'm wanted to include my Windows in the GRUB bootloader.
So i had a look in the grub.conf of the Gentoo Linux 1.4_rc2 installation
instructions.
I tried it out, but Windows won't boot.
It occured an error "Invalid and ... executable format" or so...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. If you have a Windows partition you have only to put
"title=Windows ***
root (hdX,Y)
chainloader +1"
in the grub.conf (like the Gentoo Linux 1.4_rc2 installation instructions)
2. save
3. reboot
Actual Results:
I tried it out, but Windows won't boot.
It occured an error "Invalid and ... executable format" or so...

Expected Results:
Boot Windows

Here is the solution:
You have only to replace "chainloader +1" with "chainloader (hdX,Y)+1"
(hdX,Y) represents the Windows partition.
