Activated parallel wget recently; now get waiting for lock on /usr/portage/distfiles/.locks/gcc-4.1.1-patches-1.9.tar.bz2.portage_lockfile for ages I firts place, I thought it was a bug of portage; after some reading, I remembered I just activated parallel fetch. I think the message should mention this: "if you use parallel fetch, we will wait for this lockfile until download is compleeted by some other process". When I first say emerge hang on this line for 10 mn, I thought about filesystem of program bug. Since parallel fetch is a global option, the above message could even be printed conditionnally.
