Printing in kde fails for me. The command called by kdeprint that fails is:

cupsdoprint -P 'NoPrinter' -J 'Vanoce.utf8.txt' -H '/var/run/cups/cups.sock:631' -U 'radek' -o ' Bidirectional=On Blackness=1 Dither=Ordered copies=1 multiple-document-handling=separate-documents-collated-copies orientation-requested=3'

Running the same command from command line gives me "This utility doesn't support printing from STDIN" error. Cupsdoprint --help further showed that file to print is not passed to cupsdoprint as the last argument.

I use:
kde-base/kdelibs-3.5.5-r7
kde-base/kdeprint-3.5.5
net-print/cups-1.2.7
