old erlang versions should DEPEND on old glibc versions
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 151612 ***
I don't see how this is a dupe. Sure, unmask the new one. But the old one should depend on a specific glibc version either way...
No, it shouldn't. You can't downgrade glibc anyway... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 151612 ***
In which case, it should error due to unmeetable dependencies. It certainly shouldn't continue on to error during the build.
Please stop this completely useless noise, thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 151612 ***
Closed, don't reopen.
Then maybe you should actually fix the bug, thanks.
That's what Bug 151612 is about, in case you still didn't notice.
No, bug 151612 is about getting a newer version into stable. This bug is about checking dependencies properly.
Go re-read Comment #3; you can't downgrade glibc. Now if you have nothing useful to add, then there's no need to comment further on this bug, thanks again. Meanwhile, use 11.2.1.
Thanks for reminding me why I generally ignore Gentoo bugs instead of bothering to report them.
