Please consider marking xfce-extra/xfce4-artwork-0.0.4-r2 stable to get rid of the extra dependencies when -r1 is not ported to modular X. modular X has been marked stable on major arches quite a while. If you agree, please add arch teams to CC.
Ok, it seems this is not just a matter of xfce4-artwork, so please mark all the dependencies of xfce4-extras.
No response from the xfce4 team in a timely manner so calling in the arch teams. I might be able to get the list of packages too some time soon. There might also be other xfce4 related packages than xfce4-extras that need marking. Some scripting should do the trick but don't have the time atm.
I'm for getting the assortments of packages in xfce-extra stabilized. There are several stable packages which have minor revisions to do things like use modular xorg, so it would be nice to get those stabilized, and prune the non-modular xorg ebuilds.
Dear arches, these dependencies need to go stable for modular X together with this metabuild: xfce-extra/xfce4-clipman-0.4.1-r2 (handled in Bug 148261 already) xfce-extra/xfce4-netload-0.3.3 xfce-extra/xfce4-notes-0.10.0-r2 xfce-extra/xfce4-systemload-0.3.6 xfce-extra/xfce4-taskbar-0.2.2-r2 xfce-extra/xfce4-windowlist-0.1.0-r2 Thanks.
Err, xfce-extra/xfce4-systemload-0.3.6-r1 obviously, sorry about this.
ppc64 stable
x86 stable
stable on hppa.
So a bunch of architectures marked xfce4-extras-4.2.3.2 stable around 11 months ago. However given what this bug wants to do, should the dependencies be updated in a -r1 to force the correct versions of packages to be pulled in?
Removed xfce4-artwork dep from meta ebuilds. Masked for removal. Was 3 wallpapers from 2004 and old eclass was pulling crazy deps to them.. wth was wallpapers have to do with modular X anyway?
Stable on ppc
gustavoz did 4.4.0 so sparc is gone from here too.
Handled in bug 169987.
